Uncle Jerry’s Windshield Washer Nets $8,646 for the Huntsman Cancer Institute
Earlier this year, we re-branded our time-tested windshield wash to honor one of our most cherished employees. Uncle Jerry’s Windshield Washer celebrates Jerry Bartuska, who passed away in April 2022 after a long battle with cancer.
For every sale of Uncle Jerry’s Windshield Washer, Crystal donated a portion of the profits to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation in his honor. Perhaps even more importantly, many Crystal customers, vendors, friends and employees pitched in with donations of their own. In just a few months, the Uncle Jerry’s team raised $8,646 for the organization. Our goal was $5,000, and we’re so grateful to all those that participated to have surpassed that target.
Uncle Jerry was like family to our team, serving a 20-year tenure at Crystal Packaging. During his time with us, he helped produce millions of gallons of windshield washer fluid. He passed along his strong work ethic to all the employees at our facility. We’re thankful for his dedication to our company and we’re so glad we could contribute to this great cause.
When he wasn’t working, Uncle Jerry was a skilled craftsman — a builder of toy boxes for his newborn grandchildren and dollhouses big enough to incur property taxes. He took great joy in huge camping trips with his friends and family. He is survived by an extensive extended family and even more friends who counted him as family.
